More Canadian Volunteers--Christmas, 2014

I am now back at home in Vancouver, Canada, but two of my friends went to Mexico to volunteer with Proyecto de Vida during the Christmas school break.  Aiden and Hugh reported a wonderful experience of sharing God's love with the children and the workers of Proyecto de Vida.  Hugh is already thinking of going back!

A visit to Guadalajara, December 2014

I returned to Guadalajara with Gustavo, the Proyecto de Vida weekend coordinator, and he kindly offered to show me around downtown Guadalajara.  It was quite a surprise for both of us when Eduardo, the founder of Proyecto de Vida, flew to Guadalajara to see me on the very same day!  We spent the afternoon with Sr. Felisa, who works with seniors in need and is constructing a new seniors' home.  Project Brotherhood Society in Canada has been helping Sr. Felisa for several years with donations and summer volunteer help, and now they have sent me here to help as well.  Eduardo and I spent the afternoon with Sr. Felisa and with Jaime, the project administrator, followed by an evening with Gustavo.  The work of our Lord is amazing as he continues to make our world smaller by bringing people together to serve in wonderful ways.  For more about Eduardo's visit, please check out my other blog, Asunción de María Seniors' Home, (Eduardo's visit appears in the Volunteer Help page).
